Is it your intuition?
I have noticed that, the older I get, I don´t want to compromise anymore in my decisions. I´ve noticed also that my women friends are in the same path. Maybe it has to do with that we are getting closer to menopause or at least perimenopause. In the yogic tradition it is said that when you are in the menopause your intuition is stronger, and as I see it, having a stronger intuition is guiding you to what you really want in your life, so maybe that´s why we feel that we´ve had enough with doing things we honestly deep in our heart don´t want to do.
So what is the solution to stop compromising?
What I do is writing everything down what I´m supposed to do, in short sentences. Go through those sentences one by one, and feel how every sentence/task feels like. Is it excitement, then it´s a yes. If it´s negative feeling or hesitation, then I delete that thing. What is left is the right way to go. So if I do this, then it feels good and I feel excitement and I go for it.
Sometimes you need to compromise in life, when other people are involved, I know. We can´t just do what suits us the most, all the time. Then you have to decide how much you can compromise without feeling too bad about it. How many % can you compromise, that´s what you have to decide.
And to be honest, sometimes you think you´ll not like things, but when you try them, it feels good, and then you know until next time, that they´re on the excitement list, so sometimes you need to try out new things!

Is it a negative feeling or hesitation, delete it.
