One of the Yoga Poses that has helped me the most is the Squatting Pose.
It´s a great pose that opens up the pelvis and helps the blood circulation to flow in that area.
In the yogic tradition it is said that it primarily affects the root chakra (the first chakra in the kundalini yoga tradition), that means it helps to balance the energy flowing there. Doing that you´ll balance some very important aspects in your life. Having a balanced root chakra is the foundation in your life, it´s here you feel grounded and secure with both feet steady on the ground.
Squatting is very good if you have:
Digestive problems like constipation and IBS.
You can read more about Yoga Poses for pain here and digestion here.
Whenever you have this issues try to sit in squatting for a couple of minutes. You can start with one minute and increase over time.
Having difficulties sitting in this pose?
Try to support with pillows under your heals
Lean against a wall
Try doing it on the sofa
So next time you have pain or digestive problems, try Squatting.
How is the pose working for you? Leave a comment, I´d love to hear your experience! Is it working? Is it difficult?
One of the most important things in life is our breath. Without it we can´t survive. Yet we often breathe in an non-optimal way. Often we tend to breathe up in the chest, a very shallow breath. In this video, my first video, actually, you´ll learn the Long Deep Breathing, the Yogic Breath.
If you want to know more about this breathing technique check out this blog post.
So keep breathing! Try to start your day with some minutes only focusing on your breath and fill yourself with new energy for the day. Breathing for 5-10 minutes every day is a good start. Try it for a couple of weeks and also incorporate this breath if you have pain. I would love to hearfrom you how it is working for you!
The only way to find out if it works is to try it!
