I remember the first time I did this meditation, probably 8 years ago or so. I was taking a yoga course at my yoga teacher´s yoga studio and this class was about the aura. The yoga set ended with this beautiful meditation. I remember how wonderful I felt afterwords.

In the yogic tradition the aura is important. It is the electromagnetic field that is around you. It helps to filter the negative energy, so it doesn´t reach you and you don´t get affected by negative people around you for example. It also helps to strengthen your immune system.
This meditation is not only for the aura, it is also for self love. You repeat affirmations that both helps to strengthen your aura and self love. I like to use visualization in this meditation. You can try it too if you want to. I describe it in the instructions below.
This is how you do the meditation
Sit in easy pose or on a chair. Keep your spine straight and pull in the chin so you get the straight line from the spine up to the neck. Close your eyes, place your hands on the knees in gyan mudra (tip of the index finger touches the tip of the thumb, palms facing up). Relax your shoulders.
Notice the flow of energy and that it is expanding around you while you are listening to these affirmations.
I´m full of light (you can imagine the light)
I´m shimmering (imagine that your aura is shimmering around you)
Repeat the sequence six times
Sit in this pose and breathe long and deeply for a couple of minutes.
